Request workflow

Create a key

Sign in to the dashboard, open Settings → API key, and generate a key beginning with ak_.

Send the key

For supported API endpoints, set Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_API_KEY>. Keep the key in a server-side environment variable.

Import the API

Download /openapi.json from this page and import it into your API client; set the AccountApiKey Bearer authentication once.

Reset when needed

Reset the key in Settings if it is exposed. The previous key stops working immediately.

Parameters

NameUseDescription
Account API keyRequiredThe ak_ key from dashboard Settings; this is separate from proxy passwords, MCP keys, and AI gateway keys.
AuthorizationRequiredBearer <YOUR_API_KEY> on supported API requests.

Operational notes

Key creation and reset take place in the signed-in dashboard. The API key cannot access every dashboard endpoint; unsupported routes return 403.
